Refund policy

At Balloon Wonders YYC, every order is carefully prepared and often customized specifically for your event. Due to the nature of our products and services, we have the following policy in place:

Order Cancellations

We understand that plans can change.

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days’ notice: Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the event date are eligible for a refund, minus a non-refundable 50% retainer fee (which covers administrative costs and custom materials purchased for your order)
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours – 7 days: If you cancel within this window, a refund is not available. However, we can issue a Store Credit for the full amount, valid for 6 months, which can be applied to a future date (subject to availability)
  • Less than 72 hours: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery or pickup are non-refundable and non-transferable, as your custom decor has already been prepared and materials have been utilized.

Custom & Personalized Orders

  • All custom designs, personalized balloons, and event decor are final sale.
  • Materials, inventory, and time are allocated specifically for your order, therefore no refunds or exchanges can be offered once production has started.

Helium Balloons & Perishable Items

Due to their delicate and time-sensitive nature, all helium balloons and inflated products are final sale once picked up or delivered.

We do not offer refunds or replacements for:

  • Balloons affected by weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, sun exposure)
  • Balloons transported or handled by the client after pickup
  • Improper storage or care

Non-Refundable Situations

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Last-minute cancellations (within 72 hours)
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Improper handling after pickup/delivery (We cannot be held responsible for balloons damaged by venue staff, event guests, children, pets, sharp objects, rough ceilings, or unpredictable weather conditions (including wind, rain, or heat)
  • Client-provided incorrect information
